THE CHALLENGE

 

Bundles of Joy is an online baby gifts store, selling luxury and personalised gifts for babies. With endless celebrations of new-borns, birthdays, Christmas and christenings, the market for baby gifts is huge and Bundles of Joy competes against some big brands from John Lewis to notonthehighstreet. Our challenge was to maximise our reach across the shopping campaign but keep within a strict CPA target of £8. A difficult task, but not impossible!

THE SOLUTION

Retail is crazy competitive, particularly when it comes to ecommerce. So, we implemented a Smart Shopping campaign; Bundles of Joy ads were shared across Google networks, including Google Search Network, Google Display Network, YouTube and Gmail. Smart Shopping campaigns are considered better practice than manual especially for smaller budgets, as it uses machine learning to optimise campaigns, reducing the time it takes to strategize ads – all we need to do is put in our objective, text and images and see the results appear!

THE RESULT

After we executed the Smart Shopping campaign, we saw the CPA fall by 21% to £6.40, and it continues to be the strongest converting campaign for Bundles of Joy! They now easily compete against other retailers and their value for money products make them a fantastic option for baby gifts.
